Willy Eisenschitz came to Paris to study at the academy and met a young student Claire Bertrand; they fell in love, and Eisenschitz stayed in France for the rest of his life. A trip to Provence was like a key moment for his artistic development, he dedicated his work to the atmosphere and charm of this kind of landscapes. The high of his art was in the 1930s in France, he exhibited in the museum in Toulon and in the gallery Durand-Ruel.
